LifeLock offers three plan options for individuals to choose from for identity theft protection. LifeLock Standard is the base plan. It is the lowest costing plan but offers a few key benefits even at this level that can be beneficial to consumers.

The plan includes up to $25,000 of stolen funds reimbursement**** if your identity theft leads to lost funds. It also includes LifeLock Privacy Monitoring, dark web monitoring, and lost wallet protection. It includes credit monitoring from one credit bureau. LifeLock Standard monitors for both Social Security numbers as well as credit changes and sends alerts to notify you of potential concerns. Users can then turn to the U.S.-based restoration professionals to offer help in reversing the loss.

LifeLock Standard is a comprehensive program that includes many of the features individuals need to remain protected. Take a look at some of the most important features this particular product offers.

LifeLock Privacy Monitor Tool

This tool monitors for any type of breach of your personal information such as your Social Security number, address, or other details. The goal is to help minimize exposure to your sensitive information.

One-Bureau Credit Monitoring

LifeLock Standard’s basic plan provides for credit monitoring from one provider. It does not provide coverage for all three credit bureaus, but monitors for significant changes in your credit report from one agency. It can spot things like new accounts, new addresses, and significant changes in accounts that may seem suspicious.

Stolen Funds Reimbursement

LifeLock has three plans. The amount of stolen funds reimbursement increases with each of these three plans. These funds can be used to replace any funds stolen from you due to identity theft. The coverage levels start at $25,000 for the Standard plan**** and increase to up to $100,000 for the Norton 360 with LifeLock Advantage plan****, and $1,000,000 for the Norton 360 with LifeLock Ultimate Plus plan****.

LifeLock Identity Alert System

When there is an instance of any type of breach, the company sends an alert to you. This can be sent as a text message, email, or phone call. The alert gives you information about what happened. You can then work with the Identity Restoration Specialists to manage the concern. These professionals are available 24-hours a day to provide support when it is necessary.

Dark Web Monitoring

The dark web is an area where identity information can be stolen and stole from one party to the other. These are hard-to-track websites and spaces online that can expose your private information. LifeLock Standard will monitor for any instances of your personal information being on these sites to help facilitate fast reacting to minimize loss.

Comprehensive Support from Trained Specialists

If a data breach occurs, users can turn to a single Restoration Specialist for help. Because just one person manages the process, there’s more communication. This professional is based in the U.S. for ease of communication. They work with you to resolve any type of losses you’ve had.

Ease of Use

Overall, LifeLock Standard is easy to use. The access is done on a website or an app on a smartphone. It’s much like using any other app, with detailed pages to navigate. Everything, including any reports of breaches, is stored here.

Customer Service

LifeLock offers good customer service with several benefits. The company offers a toll-free number for account questions and concerns. It provides Restoration Specialists who are available 24-hours a day and are based in the U.S. Additionally, there is a website with solid information and a membership area to use for more support.

LifeLock Standard is priced at $9.99 per month for the first year (Terms Apply). Additional taxes may apply to this. This basic level of protection is competitively priced with other products, but better coverage is available through the company’s higher level plans.

There are many benefits to LifeLock Standard. For those who want an entry-level way to protect against identity theft, this is a good starting point. While the more advanced solutions give users more protection, LifeLock Standard may be a good option for those who may not be high risk or who may want to start monitoring for changes. At $8.99 per month, it is an affordable way to get started with identification protection.
