Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are here! What kind of deals, discounts, and special promos is NortonLifeLock, one of the top names in identity theft protection, offering? Stick around to find out.

After all, identity theft is no joke. Every year scammers, hackers, and other bad actors attack millions of people, swiping up credit card numbers, banking information, social security numbers, and even titles to homes.

To save themselves from this nightmare, many folks have turned to identity theft protection services to keep an eye on things and alert them immediately if anything looks suspicious.

Pro Tip: In 2021, the FTC received nearly 1.4 million reports of identity theft. That’s a staggering number, but keep in mind those are only the reported cases.

Norton LifeLock is one of the best identity theft protection services out there. You can read about our own experiences testing their products in our LifeLock review, but to put it succinctly, they offer a lot of bells and whistles, including:

  • Comprehensive cybersecurity protections
  • Robust credit monitoring
  • Exceptional recovery options
  • Data Breach Alerts
  • Investment account alerts
  • Credit locks
  • Credit score monitoring

And the list goes on. As you would expect from any top-tier identity theft protection service, though, all of these features aren’t exactly cheap. More on this in our guide to LifeLock’s services and pricing, but if you want to go with the best this service has to offer — their Ultimate Plus plan — you’ll be spending almost $300 per year.

Which is why shopping around on Black Friday and Cyber Monday makes so much sense.

Previous NortonLifeLock Black Friday and Cyber Monday Deals

I don’t want to disappoint you, but Norton isn’t known for throwing out huge discounts on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Looking back, we haven’t turned up much over the past few years. Does that mean Norton has nothing up its sleeve this year? Let’s take a look.

FYI: If you’re looking for a Black Friday discount on a quality identity theft protection service, check out our review of Identity Guard. On Black Friday last year, they slashed prices by 60 percent.

Will There Be Black Friday Sales This Year?

There’s good news and bad news. The good news is NortonLifeLock actually has Black Friday deals this year. The bad news? Most of them are focused on the antivirus side of Norton rather than the identity protection half of LifeLock. Of the four discounted Norton products (AntiVirus Plus, 360 Standard, 360 Deluxe, and 360 Select), only the most expensive one includes LifeLock.

Here are the details: The Norton 360 with LifeLock Select normally costs $179.99 per year. This Black Friday, it’s 61-percent off, so the price is down to $69.99. That means the entire offering, which includes a VPN, password manager, parental controls, and of course, Norton antivirus software, costs only $5.83 per month to use.

That is actually the same deal LifeLock offered last year, and while the included LifeLock plan is entry-level, the Norton digital protection suite is the most comprehensive plan from the service. So if you go for it, you’re actually getting really strong malware and hacking protections. Not to mention, the included Norton Secure VPN can keep you safe from privacy invaders.

Let’s talk a little more about LifeLock, though. What features does it offer? Glad you asked.

What to Look for in an Identity Theft Protection Service

Whether you go with NortonLifeLock or any of the other high-quality identity theft protection services out there, you’re going to want to make sure it offers a few key functions. Those include:

  • Triple Bureau credit monitoring
  • Credit file locking
  • Social Security Number monitoring
  • Bank account monitoring
  • Dark web monitoring

We’d say those are the core services any identity theft protection service worth its salt would offer. You might find some additional features like bank account takeover monitoring, sex offender registry monitoring, or title fraud monitoring, but those are all icing on the cake.

Not sure how to get started? That’s totally fine. It can be overwhelming at first to sift through all of the details. After you’ve read the guide to identity theft monitoring we linked to above to get your bearings, we recommend heading over to our list of the best identity theft protection services of 2024 and take a few of our favorites for a test drive. Most of the services on this list offer some sort of holiday shopping deals.

Not ready to jump in the deep end yet? Also fine! You can also make use of this helpful identity theft protection service comparison tool to make sure you’re getting all the functionality you’re looking for.

Happy shopping, and stay safe out there!
