Link Interactive offers 3 monthly monitoring plans; the Standard plan, Gold plan and Elite plan.
Link Interactive Plan | Monthly Price |
---|---|
Standard | $30.99 |
Gold | $39.99 |
Elite | $44.99 |
Standard
Link Interactive’s Standard Plan provides professional monitoring for home security systems and life safety equipment. Monitoring is 100% cellular and uses 2-way voice capabilities to connect you directly with a professional at the monitoring station. With the Standard Plan, Link Interactive monitors for intruders, fire, smoke, flood, and carbon monoxide all with a crash-and-smash alarm that will keep you protected even if an intruder destroys your alarm.
The Standard Plan costs $30.99 per month for monitoring. Link Interactive can monitor many competitors’ systems, or you can purchase new home security equipment from them. Link Interactive offers some much-needed flexibility because you can self-monitor your security system or pay the monthly fee to have the professionals at Link Interactive monitor it for you. The basic control panel comes standard with all three plans, and then you can customize your system by purchasing individual security products to connect, such as sensors and alarms. Sensors range in price from $22 for a door/window sensor to $112 for a smart motion sensor. You can choose to connect life safety equipment that can detect smoke, carbon monoxide, flood, and temperature. Link Interactive actively monitors these life safety devices even when your system is disarmed. Life safety products range in price from $37 for a smoke alarm to $80 for a carbon monoxide detector.
You can’t have a security system without a control panel. The control panel is the central location where you manage and program your system and all of the connected equipment. The control panel that comes free when you purchase a system is Link Interactive’s 2Gig Go!Control. It has a built-in touch screen, two built-in radios, and is easy to upgrade. This standard control panel also allows you to connect up to 60 security sensors, 3 image sensor supports, and 232 Z-Wave devices. The 2Gig Go!Control also gives you 8 hours of battery backup in case of a power outage. Link Interactive gives you the option to upgrade your control panel to their IQ Panel 2 for $200. This control panel comes with 3 door or window sensors and a motion detector, which have a value of $125, so the control panel almost immediately pays for itself. This upgraded panel allows you to disarm your security system with their Bluetooth, touch-free system. It has sensor encryption and a panel camera, and it takes a picture when your system is disarmed. This control panel offers fewer user codes than the basic panel (31 versus 242) and connects to fewer Z-Wave devices (128 instead of 232), but it will connect to 128 security sensors (as compared to 60 with the basic) and 5 image sensor support (as compared to 3). The IQ Panel 2 includes a 24-hour battery backup, help videos, an SD slot, a photo-frame mode, and 5 built-in radios.
Gold
The Gold Plan from Link Interactive gives you everything in the Standard Plan plus home automation options and the ability to control your system remotely. This plan costs $39.99 per month, which is only $5 more a month than the Standard Plan. You get complete control of your system from their mobile app, which can provide peace of mind while you are away from home.
Like the Standard Plan, Link Interactive’s Gold Plan allows you to choose between the control panel, 2Gig Go!Control, that comes free with a monitoring contract or the upgraded panel, IQ Panel 2, for an extra $200. You can control either panel from the Link Interactive mobile app. For your basic security system, you have the same equipment options as the Standard Plan, and all equipment from Link Interactive has a 3-year warranty. The difference with this plan really comes down to the home automation products. For automated lighting, you can purchase a light bulb that uses Z-Wave technology for $18. To control your front door wirelessly, you can opt for the SmartCode Lever from Kwikset for $215. Link Interactive also offers smart thermostats from Alarm.com ($108) and Z-Wave ($85), a remote temperature sensor ($23), a touchscreen deadbolt from Yale ($204), smart door sensors ($40), a lamp module that allows you to automate regular lighting ($25), and an IQ doorbell that can trigger your porch light to come on or your camera to begin recording ($32).
Elite
Link Interactive’s Elite Plan gives you the same great professional security monitoring and life safety monitoring as the other two plans, and you have the home automation features and remote access that also come with the Gold Plan. The Elite Plan adds HD video monitoring with on-demand, scheduled, and motion-activated video recording, all for $44.99 per month.
With the Elite Plan, you can connect indoor and outdoor cameras for added protection. The V522IR Interior Camera has infrared night vision and full 1080p HD video recording. This small camera can be mounted on the wall or placed on a shelf. It uploads videos to the cloud and integrates into your home security system for seamless automation. This camera works with the Link Interactive mobile app to allow you to see, hear, and speak to the person in front of the camera. This interior camera costs $129, while their V620PT Interior Pan/Tilt Camera costs $278. The pan-and-tilt camera offers a panning range of 350-degree for full-room visibility. The field of view is 77 degrees horizontal and 54 degrees vertical. The camera can tilt 125 degrees and offers 720p HD resolution.
Link Interactive offers one exterior camera, the V722W Exterior Camera, for $199. This outdoor camera gives you options when it comes to video resolution. You can choose from 1280×800, 600×400, or 300×200, and you can choose a resolution of 176×144 for your live video stream (but not with the recorded video). The infrared night vision can see up to 40 feet away in the dark. Nighttime recording can catch colors and details that make it comparable to the daytime recording. The field of view is 62 degrees horizontal and 38 degrees vertical. This outdoor camera has built-in UV protection and can operate in temperatures between -4 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit and in the humidity of 20% to 100%. It also allows up to 10 viewers to watch the video feed simultaneously.
Link Interactive’s last camera offering is the SkyBell Doorbell Camera that they sell for $175. This doorbell camera requires a strong Wi-Fi signal. They suggest that you place your Wi-Fi router right inside your door to improve signal or that you use a Wi-Fi extender. The SkyBell fully integrates into an automated home system. Not only can you see, hear, and speak to anyone on your doorstep, but you can also remotely unlock a connected Z-Wave door lock. The doorbell camera includes a built-in motion detector, and movement will trigger the camera to record video clips.
Each new Link Interactive customer gets a free touchscreen control panel, a yard sign and window decals.
