Burglary in Colorado
According to the data we gathered, Colorado residents saw break-ins decrease from 34,746 to 20,064 incidents over 15 years. This 42% reduction demonstrates substantial progress in home security throughout the Centennial State. The crime now accounts for about 13% of all property offenses, down from higher concentrations earlier in the study.
Larceny in Colorado
As the dominant property crime in Colorado, larceny shows a modest 16% decrease across the observation period. Our analysis shows that incidents declined from 127,602 to 107,012. However, larceny represents roughly 72% of all property offenses committed in Colorado. The 15-year crime trend demonstrates slow but steady progress in reducing theft statewide.
Car Theft in Colorado
Car theft in Colorado declined 15% from 26,101 to 22,113 across the observation period. Despite this overall decrease, recent stats over the years show fluctuations worth monitoring throughout Colorado.
