Did you know that in 2018, the FBI estimated a home burglary occurred every 25.7 seconds?1
Though property crime has (thankfully) been on the decline in the years since, it’s still hard to overstate the importance of adding security cameras to your home.
These days, home security cameras are one of the best ways to protect your home from intrusions. The industry is brimming with selection, ensuring there’s something out there for everyone. And the best part? There are always some serious deals and discounts on a huge number of these cameras – especially on big retail holidays like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Prime Day. But you’ve also got heaps of everyday discounts, coupon codes, and other special offers and promotions throughout the year. Let’s explore security camera deals now.
FYI: Pricing on security cameras can seem inconsistent, but it’s generally a get-what-you-pay-for scenario. To learn more, visit our in-depth security camera cost guide.
Everyday Deals and Savings on Security Cameras
How much you’ll save on a security camera, of course, depends highly on which camera or system you choose. In terms of deals, let’s start with Arlo, one of the best wireless cameras in the market, and known for its sleek design and stellar video performance.
Arlo Camera Deals
Specifically with Arlo, you’ll want to pay close attention to the packages and system bundles they offer, as this is really the best way to save money if you’re looking to buy their cameras. Here are a few of their notable deals:
- Arlo Complete Home Protection Bundle with an Arlo Essential Wired Video Doorbell, two-camera Arlo Pro 3 kit, Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera, and Arlo Q Indoor Camera, for a total of $943.95. That includes an additional 20 percent discount taken at checkout.
- Arlo Wireless Doorbell Starter Bundle, now slashed from $300 to just under $230.
- Arlo Pro 42 three-camera kit, originally $549.99, is now $499.99.
- Arlo Essential add-on camera, originally $159.99, now $20 off for a total of $129.99.
This is a truly unique system, but Arlo isn’t exactly known for being easy on the wallet. So it’s definitely worth looking at those package bundles. For lots more info about their cameras, check out my hands-on Arlo Pro 3 camera review.
Pro Tip: If you like Arlo’s cameras but aren’t keen on the prices, my review of Reolink’s Argus 3 camera might have a few pointers. Reolink’s cameras resemble Arlo in many ways but are generally a bit cheaper. Just something to keep in mind.
Ring Camera Savings
You really can’t go wrong with a Ring camera, so it’s always a smart idea to see what’s in store with Amazon’s leading camera brand around holiday sales, Prime Day (more on that later), and just your everyday markdowns on packages and bundles.
Here are a few Ring deals I happened upon, but note this is certainly not an exhaustive list. Keep checking back here as Ring announces big discounts around retail holiday sales like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and of course, Prime Day.
- A Ring Stick Up Solar Cam package, originally $450 for a three-pack and Ring Solar Panel, is now on sale for around $414.
- A Ring Floodlight Cam with Echo Show 5 package is slashed from $289.98 to just under $220.
- A Ring Spotlight Cam 3-Pack battery bundle, originally $599.97, is now on sale for $529.99.
- Get a $54 savings with a Ring Video Doorbell Pro package bundle with an Echo Show 5.

Blink Camera Discounts
Blink is a consistent favorite of ours, with slim, discreet equipment powered by extended-life batteries. Though they’ve amassed a healthy following among apartment dwellers and renters, Blink is generally billed as the budget-friendly alternative to Ring, known for containing basic features and offering super-easy installation.
While the savings don’t tend to be massive for Blink products – they are pretty affordable already, as you might have learned from my hands-on Blink camera analysis – there are still plenty of discounts to snag. An example: Blink Mini, the brand’s only wired camera, was temporarily slashed from an already low $35 to a lean $28.
Pro Tip: For more ways to save on Blink cameras year-round, head over to my full Blink camera deals and discounts guide.
It’s safe to predict that a sale like this might get even deeper on Blink Mini or on the brand’s two other cameras: the $100 Blink Outdoor Camera and slightly cheaper Blink Indoor, for $80. So keep your eyes peeled!
Lorex Camera Deals
There’s always much to find in a Lorex sale. It’s a huge brand of cameras that are available all the way up to 4K video but remain mostly affordable compared to competing brands. Their Deals of the Day, for one, are worth a look; here are just a few $40-off deals happening now on Lorex’s site:
- Lorex 4K Ultra HD Active Deterrence Dome Security Camera for $99.99 – $40 off the original price.
- Lorex 4K Ultra High Definition Bullet Security Camera with 135-foot Color Night Vision for $49.99, marked down from $89.99.
- Lorex 8-channel Smart DVR System with Eight 2K (5 MP) Deterrence Security Cameras for $399, a Deal of the Day savings of $200.

Amazon Prime Day Deals on Security Cameras
Amazon Prime Day3 needs little introduction; you’ve likely already been on pins and needles waiting for the massive sales bonanza to return in 2021. It’s now officially scheduled for June 21-22, after much fanfare and uncertainty about how the e-commerce giant would handle their two biggest shopping days of the year.
Indeed, this event, held annually since 2015, has a slightly different meaning this year. For many small businesses, it’s a chance to recoup debilitating losses they endured in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
What should that tell you? For one, look for generous sales on lots of Amazon-branded cameras. You guessed it: That’s Ring and Blink. As these brands reveal what they’re cooking up for Prime Day, you should look out for deals like the ones I described above on the Ring Spotlight, Ring Stick Up, and everyone’s favorite Ring Video Doorbell when the big event rolls around.
Final Thoughts and Recommendations
If you’re willing to do some careful planning and preparation, you can find some truly amazing deals on security cameras around the holidays, Prime Day, and other seasonal sales. Of course, if you already own a Ring, Arlo, Nest Cam, or another one of the top-rated cameras I discuss above, it’s likely you’ll be notified by email or push notifications (if you’ve enabled them) about brand announcements and sales around holidays.
And aside from the big names stated above, it’s always smart to compare those higher-profile cameras against lesser-known brands like Zmodo and D-Link. I’ve found some unique and surprisingly impressive cameras at affordable prices that way.
